Pigs are in demand by villagers but expensive. Trailblazer Foundation intends to follow a sustainable model from Heifer International to promote the ownership and supply of pigs to villagers exponentially over time. The model begins with a breeding pig to a selected family. Two other families are on a waiting list to receive a piglet from the first litter. All families involved care for the pig and ensure its health and successful reproduction. When the waiting families receive their piglet, the process is put in motion again.

Cows are very expensive for poor rice farmers to purchase for plowing, harvesting, and transportation and often cannot even afford to rent them. Cows range in size, and therefore, range in price from $250 to $500 USD each. The best time of year to purchase cows is January through March before the planting season.
